At Rocky Mountain Sports Counseling Center, we understand that reaching out for support can feel like a big step. Whether you are an athlete, parent, or coach, our goal is to make the process clear, supportive, and straightforward from the very beginning.

Many people begin by learning more about our practice and the individuals we serve — from youth athletes to collegiate, professional, and Olympic competitors, as well as coaches and parents.

You can explore our areas of specialization (performance anxiety, injury, burnout, identity transitions, grief, and more), our counseling philosophy, fees and payment structure, and frequently asked questions.

This helps you determine whether Rocky Mountain Sports Counseling Center feels like the right fit.

When you are ready, you can complete the contact form on our website.

You will provide your name and contact information, who the services are for (athlete, parent, or coach), and a brief description of what support is needed.

You do not need to have the perfect words — a short description is enough for us to understand how to guide you.

A member of the RMSCC team will respond within 24–48 business hours.

At this stage, we may ask a few clarifying questions, provide additional information about services, discuss availability, or schedule a brief intake call.

Our goal is to provide clarity and comfort from the start.

Before scheduling your first session, you will complete a brief intake call with a member of our team.

This call allows us to determine whether RMSCC is the right fit, answer your questions, and clarify next steps.

This is not a therapy session — it is simply a short conversation to ensure the process feels right for everyone involved.

If we determine RMSCC is a good fit, intake paperwork is sent electronically, policies and consent forms are reviewed, payment arrangements are confirmed, and your first session is scheduled.

We aim to make this process simple and efficient.

The first session focuses on understanding your current challenges, learning about your athletic and personal background, identifying goals for counseling, and beginning to build trust and rapport.

Athletes often come in to discuss performance pressure, injury recovery, confidence, identity in sport, or life transitions. You are welcome to show up exactly as you are.

If you choose to continue counseling, sessions are scheduled consistently, goals are refined and monitored over time, and support is tailored to both performance and whole-person well-being.

Sport can be mentally, emotionally, and physically demanding. Our work focuses on supporting both the athlete and the person behind the performance.

Ready to Get Started?

If you or your athlete are looking for support with performance, mental health, injury recovery, or transitions in sport, we’re here to help. Taking the first step can feel difficult, but reaching out is often the beginning of meaningful progress.
